Michael Vacco, III

Michael Vacco joined the Sonora Police Department in August of 2024.  He has a total of 12 years of law enforcement experience.  He has held leadership positions such as Corporal, Sergeant and Lieutenant. 

Michael has a bachelor's in criminal justice and a master's in homeland security and emergency management. 

Michael is also a mental health peace officer.  Michael is a United States Marine, was wounded in Afghanistan and received the Purple Heart.
